About: Dan Baron

“You’re the writer,” they said. “Tell the story.” Early in my career, a group of community organizers in Chicago gave me the chance to write about housing, violence prevention, education, health care, and other social issues. Just as important, this group knew that they had to tell their story every day of the week.

I’ve been writing about social issues for nonprofit groups, universities, and public agencies ever since, and have worked as a journalist and columnist. I’m also a storyteller in Chicago.

Online, video, print, in person – there are so many ways to tell your impactful story.

Other than that? I’m also a dad, a brother (and a twin), a friend, and someone who – yes, it’s true – votes.
